Fast Facts for the Stockton Borough:
Stockton is officially the safest place to live in the Tees Valley!
Over the last three years (2008/09 - 2010/11) we have achieved some excellent reductions in crime, including a 23.5% reduction for total crime which means 3,394 fewer victims!
Although Stockton is the largest district in the Tees Valley with a population increase from 186,000 to approximately 192,150 over the last seven years (2004/05 -2010/11) crime rate has slashed by 50%!
Stockton falls 22.7% below the regional average for crime and 50.2% below Middlesbrough! ( 2010/11)
In the year 2003/04 Stockton had 20,534 recorded crimes but in 2010/11 the total was down to 10,832 crime, that's over 9,500 less crimes!
Dwelling Burglary has fallen by 76%! (2010/11)

When our ASB and enforcement officers are out on patrol testing strips are used to show alcohol presence in drinks young people maybe carrying.
