Calling all young Victims - Don't sit at home alone - tell someone that cares!

young victims

Do feel hurt, angry, upset and scared after what you have witnessed?  Maybe you wouldjust feel better knowing that you have told us about what you have seen?  We know that young people are often unsure where they can go when they have been a victim of crime.  We want you to know that support is out there for young people as well as adults.  We want you to let us know if you have been a victim, especially when you would like someone to talk to and help you through what has happened.

Safer Stockton Partnership is your local Community Safety Partnership, this involves close working with a number of key agencies such as the Police, Council, Fire Service and health to name just a few.  These agencies and others work to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in your Borough and ensure that communities are safe.

Many of you hopefully will have see our Roach Campaign where we identify types of crime that you may come across, where you can report to including Crime Stoppers and our specifically on- line reporting form.  However we understand from the work that has previously been carried out through the Youth Crime Action Plan and our experience that young people are often victims as well as witnesses to crime and anti-social behaviour  we want you to know you can ask for help and support too!

This sessions is also offered to all primary (Y6) and secondary schools throughout the Borough.  We want young people to recognise when they have been a victim and more importantly to access support that is available.  We want you to think about your behaviour and how it can impact on others and in some cases make others feel like victims.

As a young person you too can report an incident that you have witnessed or have experienced especially when you would like to receive further support.
