Success for Mandale and Victoria as total crime rates fall! - August 2011

Residents of Mandale and Victoria can feel confident and be reassured that crime is definitely on the decrease. When looking at the past eight years crime and anti social behaviour in this ward has slashed by an impressive 53%. Last financial year, Mandale and Victoria saw a total of 956 crimes, this, compared to 2003-04 with 2,022 offences, means a total of 1,066 less crimes! This excellent result reinforces the first-rate service and pro active approach from the Safer Stockton Partnership. Cleveland Police, the Anti Social Behaviour team and Cleveland Fire Brigade continue to work together to effectively clamp down on crime! Latest crime figures show that robbery, drug offences, violence and burglary offences have all seen a dramatic decrease in the last year slashing by over 20%. Drug detection rate has increased which means less drug offences and total crime for 2010-2011 has seen a drop by 8% with 81 less offences! Overall, Mandale and Victoria has seen reductions in not only serious crime types but the reduction in anti social behaviour has doubled that of the Borough average.
